Blowing Rock High Country Ale

Our flagship High Country is a deep, golden ale brewed with American 2-Row and Munich style malts. Cascade and Centennial are used in the finish and dry hopping. This is our best selling and most versatile ale due to its balance between a floral citrus hop profile and well-integrated hop bitterness. Clean, Crisp. Refreshing!
Blowing Rock IPA
6.2% ABV 73 IBU
Our Blowing Rock IPA exhibits a brilliant copper color through the incorporation of North American 2-Row and other specialty malts. Kettle hopping provides evident but not overwhelming hop bitterness while the finish and dry hopping offers elegant hop complexity. Citrus and floral notes are balanced with a slight hint of caramel malt. This IPA is full-bodied and flavorful, yet thoughtfully integrated.
Blowing Rock Summer Ale
5.0% ABV 15 IBU
Our Summer Ale is often compared to a Belgian Witbier, as it is fermented with a Belgian Wit Yeast. The grain bill is domestic pale malt & white wheat. Kettle hopping is done with signature Czech Saaz hops that offer a balanced bitterness. A late kettle addition of orange peel and coriander spice provides the finishing touch for this medium bodied, refreshing ale.
Blowing Rock Oktoberfest
5.7% ABV 20 IBU
Our Blowing Rock Oktoberfest is the ideal Märzen style German Oktoberfest brew. It pours with brilliant, golden copper color and the malty aroma evokes notes of breaded caramel. A subdued hop profile creates a malt-forward, smooth finish to this well-balanced seasonal brew.
Blowing Rock Mountain Shadow Black IPA
6.8% ABV 72 IBU
Our Mountain Shadow Black IPA transforms the traditional. The roasted barley malts utilized in stouts and porters provide a bold foundation and unique character. Magnum and Galena hops compliment the deeply roasted grain bill, resulting in an elegantly balanced brew with toasted nut and hop-centric flavors.
Blowing Rock Mountain Spring Ale
5.2% ABV 24 IBU
Brewed with Pale 2-Row, Cara, and flaked barley malts, this moderately attenuated blonde ale drinks smooth and finishes clean and fresh. Careful kettle hopping yields undertones of citrus and stonefruit. Pours with brilliant straw color and a full, frothy head. Celebrate spring!
Ale House Series
5.0% ABV 40 IBU
Our traditional Czechoslovakian Pilsner won the gold medal at the Carolina’s Championship of Beer. It is brewed with German malt and Czech hops to create a perfect compliment of malt sweetness and body to the distinctive bitterness and aroma typical of this lager style. This beer is perfect evidence that light-bodied brews don’t have to be light in flavor. Our Pilsner drinks crisp and smooth, and still offers a richness of flavor.
American Wheat Ale
5.3% ABV 22 IBU
An American style wheat beer that is cold fermented to be silky smooth on the palate. It’s perfect any time you want a light, refreshing beer. This beer is not filtered, but made in such a way that it’s clear and clean without excessive yeast cloudiness and flavor.
Belgian Pale Ale
5.2% ABV 29 IBU
The distinctive, fruity and aromatic qualities of Belgian yeast resonate to bring perfect balance to the full-bodied maltiness of this classic Northern European ale. This beer is not too strong, but robust in the complexity of its flavors and aromas. Hints of floral hops and fruity aromas blend with a crisp, hoppy aftertaste to create a light, refreshing brew.
Belgian Dubbel Ale
6.6% ABV 24 IBU
The distinctive, fruity and aromatic qualities of Belgian yeast resonate to bring perfect balance to the full-bodied maltiness of this classic ale.
Extra Special Bitter
6.3% ABV 44 IBU
Our ESB is a deep copper color and made with British 2-Row malts. This style dates back hundreds of years to Great Britain, so we craft our ESB to achieve a certain elegance from a select bill of quality malts paired with just enough specialty hops to make it a year-round favorite.
Midnight Raspberry Wheat
ABV: 5.9% IBU: 27
Brewed with dark roasted wheat and fermented with real raspberries. Finishes mellow and sweet.
ABV: 4.8% IBU: 29
Our French style Saison is light in color, but full in flavor. With subtle earthy hints of green peppercorn and a mild tartness and touch of sweet. This Cucumber Saison will surely cool down any hot summer day.
7.8% ABV 73 IBU
This stronger style of pale ale was originally developed in England to withstand long travel to the British Indian colonies. Today we brew our Double IPA even stronger with plenty of hop aroma, flavor and bitterness to compliment the large malt bill used to create this special ale.
8.0% ABV 71 IBU
Our signature Black IPA transforms the traditional. The Black Patent and the roasted barley malts used in stouts and porters create a deeply opaque and robust foundation. Magnum, Galena and Cascade hops are added to provide familiar citrus bitterness that compliments the deeply roasted grain bill. The dark malts and non- traditional hop profile blend together to create an elegantly balanced brew with a toasted nut and hop-centric flavor.
7.8% ABV 32 IBU
A traditional Scotch Ale, this beer is made with pale and biscuit malts, and just enough roasted barley to create a strong, complex version of this wonderful seasonal ale.
5.3% ABV 26 IBU
This dark brown, German lager has a mild malt character with flavors of caramel and toffee. It is smooth and sweet without the heavy-bodied feel of a dark beer. This beer was first produced in Saxony, Germany in 1543 and is believed to have been consumed since the Middle Ages.
Roasted Pumpkin Ale
6.5% ABV 32 IBU
Our brewers roasted 160 pounds of North Carolina’s first pumpkin harvest to celebrate the glorious taste of fall. Premium biscuit and crystal malts provide a base of toasted bread and caramel with additions of vanilla bean, whole clove, cinnamon and mace that combine to create seasonal brew unlike any other.

Inspired by the very best English Stouts; extremely full bodied with roasted aromas and flavors, medium dry to sweet finish with a smoothness and complexity that makes this one of our favorite offerings.
9.0% ABV 64 IBU
One of the world’s strongest beers, this one is a style that was brewed for the Czar of Russia. This is a deeply roasted and malty sweet stout sure to make an impression.
11.0% ABV 72 IBU
This American style barley wine is aged in bourbon barrels on-site which provide complexity and a bold yet smooth finish. This style of ale originated in 18th century England, during a time when many of the traditional barley wines were very strong and served as healing drinks.
Belgian Strong Ale
9.5% ABV 29 IBU
Our Belgian Strong Ale is truly unique. This ale consists of a fruity aroma and rich flavors from various dark malts and Belgian dark candy sugar. The addition of figs spiced with allspice & mace in the fermentation make this strong ale one of our most complex brews.
Blowing Rock Hop Hiker

A massively hopped IPA with expressions of tropical fruit and nuances of citrus and pine. Medium body with mild bitterness and a clean hop finish.

Availability: Seasonal Brewed with French Saison yeast with peaches and apricots added during fermentation. Crisp & refreshing in the French countryside tradition.

Brewed with juicy hops and real grapefruit added during fermentation. A light body session ale with an invigorating profile of tropical and citrus fruit with a clean hop finish.
American Honor Series
6.3% ABV 39 IBU
Malt driven and deep amber-red in color with moderate hop intensity. Balanced; yet interestingly complex from carefully toasted malts and rich, fruity esters.
Hop On N’ Ride
6.7% ABV 67 IBU
A ‘hop forward’ IPA that charges forward yet stays on the tracks. Pale malts offer a clean, crisp presence showcase the wonderful spicy, orange flavor profile of the brand new American Jarrylo hop!
